Worship Walk takes a detour into racism

THE MAY Sunday Worship Walk took a little tour of some of the massive wall pictures that have become so popular in Cardiff to talk about the messages they convey. The last one visited was particularly striking – and still in the process of being painted! The artist and spray painters were just having a break and joined the discussion.
They told the group, led by Rhoda Henson, that the image was part of the anti-racist message sent out to the youth of the World by Urdd Gobaith Cymru as its 2023 Peace and Goodwill Message.
Later work to the wall art in Moira Terrace saw the addition of the slogan Call Them Out and its Welsh version Galw Nhw Allan.
The Urdd website says the anti-discrimination message is a call from the youth of Wales to the youth of the rest of the world to combat discrimination and Call Out Racism.
