It is time to be . . .
Reflective Informed Creative Together
Come along on
Saturday, 8th February 2025
10:00am to 3:30pm
to your Eco Church Regional Roadshow
at City URC, Windsor Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BZ
ECO CHURCH ROADSHOW
WHY
Why should we care? Because God asked us, wants us, and gave us that special responsibility, to care
for the good creation of which we are a part. Caring for creation is recognising and enjoying the
wonders of the glory of God that can be seen and known around us, as well as fulfilling our special
God-given role of keeping watch over and developing this amazing creation. Also, there has been a
realisation that we humans have not always appreciated the natural world as much as we should do,
and over the years we have intentionally or unintentionally destroyed, exploited and messed with
creation bringing about devastating consequences. Now is the time to renew our relationship with
God by reviving our relationship with creation, so come along and find out more.
WHO
Revd Jason Askew, Judy Harris and Eileen Newington (Synod Green Advocate) will lead the activities.
Claire Boot, Chris Atherton and Megan Price will participate and be available for some Q&A sessions.
There is the potential for creation care and a response to the Eco Church surveys in every corner of
church life. Ministers, Elders, Junior Church leaders, those involved with Rinance, buildings and church
land are all warmly invited and encouraged to attend our roadshow activities.
The days are not designed merely for those interested in the ‘green’ agenda but for everyone in
the congregation, so that together we all feel engaged with the Eco Church programme within
our own churches and across the Synod.
