JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS to mark 50 years of the United Reformed Church in London on Saturday 15 April were followed by special Pastorate celebrations last weekend, when we hosted two Moderators: Revd Simon Walking, Moderator of Wales URC Synod, and Revd Fiona Bennett, Moderator of URC General Assembly.

Revd Simon Walkling led worship at City URC on 22 April, reflecting on the Emmaus story. The service was the last preaching engagement for Simon in his role of Moderator; Having served two terms as the United Reformed Church Moderator of the National Synod of Wales, Simon has answered the call to pastorate ministry in Swansea, where he will be inducted later this year.
The service was followed by a Pastorate lunch, where we were able to meet together with Fiona and Simon.
